Luigi Righetti. Amarone 'Capitel de Roari'

A traditional Amarone made from hand selected bunches that represent the cream from Righetti's grape growers.  15%

The grapes are picked by hand at full ripeness and carried on shallow trays up to the drying attic. There are only windows to control the humidity and temperature and only a careful eye and regular sorting to avoid rot setting in. They are carried down to the cellar in the spring and are crushed and fermented in steel tanks. Ageing is in barrique and large oak barrels (half and half).
